Privacy Policy

DJS Collective LLC ("Maintd," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Maintd mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider — we never see or store your password in plain text).
Home and Vehicle Information
To generate your personalized maintenance schedule, we collect information you provide about your home and vehicles, including: property type, zip code, home features and systems (e.g., HVAC type, roof material), and vehicle details (year, make, model, VIN, odometer readings, fuel type).
Photos
If you choose to add photos of your equipment or vehicle tires, those photos are uploaded to our secure, private cloud storage. They are never public — access requires a time-limited, signed link generated only for your account.
Service History
When you mark a maintenance task complete, we store the completion date, any cost you enter, notes, and whether the work was done by you or a professional (and that professional's name, if you provide one).
Usage and Device Information
We collect standard technical information needed to operate the App, such as crash logs and general usage patterns, to help us fix bugs and improve the App.
Advertising Identifiers
If you consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, we (through our advertising partner, Google AdMob) may collect your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads. If you decline, you'll still see ads, just less personalized ones. See "Advertising" below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Generate and maintain your personalized maintenance schedule
- Decode vehicle information from a scanned VIN
- Generate AI-assisted DIY repair/maintenance guidance
- Sync maintenance reminders to your device's calendar (this sync is one-way, from the App to your device — we do not read your existing calendar events)
- Send you maintenance reminder notifications
- Show you relevant third-party parts listings or local service providers, if you use those features
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App
- Display advertising (see below)
3. Third Parties We Share Information With
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each receives only the specific information described — we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

We do not share your service history, home details, or photos with any advertiser or data broker.
4. Advertising
The App displays advertising served by Google AdMob. We currently use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework to request your permission before any cross-app tracking occurs — you can change this at any time in your device's Settings app under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- Access or update your home, vehicle, and account information at any time within the App.
- Delete photos you've added at any time within the App.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at the address above. We will delete your data within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain it by law.
- Opt out of notifications in your device's notification settings.
- Opt out of ad personalization via the App Tracking Transparency prompt or your device settings.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion, as described above.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App's features (for example, your full service history, so you can hand it to a future home buyer or insurance adjuster). If you delete your account, we delete your associated data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.
7. Children's Privacy
Maintd is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 years old. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit, and private, access-controlled storage for photos (no photo is ever publicly accessible without a time-limited signed link tied to your account).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the App or by email before the changes take effect.
